Below is an excellent resource for non-profits. I just listened to the 1-hour keynote by Allen Gunn (of AspirationTech), which is essentially an overview of how a non-profit should regard technology issues. It is intended for a non-technical audience, though it does get into specifics of tying together your website, database, newsletter and the use of web 2.0. It's hilarious, too.

Rob Thorne is asking for folks to chip in to get the OG_CiviCRM module updated for Drupal 5.1.

There's a big need for this kind of sync between Drupal and CiviCRM for membership organizations, nonprofits, etc.. - so click on the link above, read his message, and DONATE to get him the hours to get this done!

I attended a great event today at the Hollywood theatre, put on by the Meyer Memorial Trust titled "Communicating in the Age of New Media". The overall presentations centered on video as a communication tool - which is great for those organizations that can afford it, and are up to speed on their online strategy. But for those who don't have a tens of thousands of dollars to spend on producing video, a general over view of effective communication strategy was in order.

pdxpeace.org is a community website for the Portland peace and justice community, launched on the anniversary of the fourth year since the start of the war in Iraq, to promote a mass civic demonstration against the war in Iraq and to bring the troops home.
